Another year is upon us and the BRMA Board is looking forward to seeing you all again at some of our great events. First I would like to introduce the Board Members:
Bill Detmar – BRMA President
Dennis Higgins – BRMA League Director
Aaron Alandt – BRMA Handicap Chairman
Trevor Eisele – BRMA Tournament Director
Bachchi Oumar – BRMA Treasurer
Scott Owens – BRMA Secretary
If you have any questions or comments, please see any member of the Board to address these. We are always looking for feedback to help us to improve our association. During our annual meeting in November the membership did pass a couple updates to our By-Laws. If you are interested in seeing those, please visit http://www.boiseranchmen.com/bylaws.html
I know a lot of you are waiting for the tournament schedule, here is the tentative schedule, but we are not anticipating any changes. The final schedule will be available around middle of February.
March 21st 2 Man Chapman – Joe Deaver Alloway Electric
April 18th Green Monster – Vince Archibeque Archibeque Real Estate
May 2nd & 3rd Eclectic – Mike Hanson/Neal Ellitot – Mass Mutual/Average Golfers
May 16th & 17th Hot Shot – Scott Malmstrom Farm Bureau Insurance
June 19-21st Member Guest – Derek Jenkins Benchmark Automotive
July 26th Last Chance
August 8th & 9th Club Championship – Dave Ellis Bluebird Construction
Sept 18-20th Weekend Warrior – Ryan VanMetre/Tom Jenkins Priority Electric
October 10th & 11th RanchStone Cup
One of the biggest changes that was made to the By-Laws was Article VIII Section 1. This states that you must have been a part of the Board for at least 1 year prior to running for the position of President. Because this was passed, the Board has also created 3 positions called independent directors. These are volunteer positions that do not vote, or receive benefits, but do pass the qualification for the above By-Law. These positions allow you to participate on the Board and have a voice for the association and help to represent our incredible group. If this is something that you would be interested in doing, please see one of our board members.
Lastly, we still have some sponsorship opportunities available if you are interested, if so please contact a Board Member.
It has been my pleasure to represent this group for the last few years, and I look forward to continuing for the next couple of years. This is the best association around, and I consider it an honor that you have allowed me to represent all of you. I know that the other board members feel the same way.
Thanks
Bill Detmar
